Serving People

Clothes for Care

The Clothes for Care Ministry provides clothing at no cost to anyone in need. There are no prerequisites required. Clothing for operation of the ministry is donated by the members and congregation of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. The ministry is open every Wednesday from 10:30am to 1:30pm, and Sundays after early and late service. We are located on the second floor.

Food Pantry

The Food Pantry was formed in late 2009 under the vision of Pastor Charles Quann. The mission of the Food Pantry has always been to serve ALL who are in need of food . We have been blessed to serve those from Ambler, Lansdale, Hatfield , Norristown , Philadelphia and other neighboring communities. The pantry is open Wednesdays 10:00AM-12:30PM , Fridays 12:30pm-1:30pm and Sundays 10:45am-11:15am. The ministry consist of over 10 members from various ministries of Bethlehem who organize the pantry through picking up and bagging produce, shelving, coding all the food items that have been donated and purchased and preparing bags of food to be distributed to clients.

The Food Pantry continues to network and collaborate with other organizations such as the Nutrition Coalition , Manna on Main Street and Philabundance so that we can obtain and have access to other food resources and donations . In Matthew 25:35, It states that “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. It is this Food Pantry’s mission to ALWAYS Love God and Serve People.

Heart and Hand

BBC partners with Chariots for Hope (http://www.chariotsforhope.org) to support the Ogada Children's Home in Kisumu, Kenya. Our objective is to break the cycle of poverty by providing financial support to the children of Ogada.

Since 2010, members and friends of BBC have sponsored the children of Ogada by contributing monthly to cover their daily expenses (meals, medical, and school uniforms. Bethlehem has traveled to Ogada on several occasions fellowshipping with the children and interacting with their families in the village of Ogada. In 2018, BBC’s Mission Team met with the US Ambassador to Kenya in Nairobi to discuss funding opportunities. We have also received support from Salem Baptist Church (Roslyn, PA) the International Fellowship of Chaplains (IFOC), and the Delaware Valley Links organization.
