Deaconess
Ministry

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the Deaconess Ministry of Bethlehem Baptist Church is to be used by God to support the Pastor, work with the Deacons in ministering to the needs of the congregation, assist with Baptism and Communion and to promote spiritual growth in the lives of women and young adults in accordance with Titus 2:3-5. The Deaconess Ministry are servant leaders responsible for caring and ministering to the diverse needs of the congregation and model a life of prayer, worship, praise, humanity, commitment, accountability, and social justice consciousness. In the role of Triumph representatives, the Deaconess provide support, comfort and encouragement to families during the loss of a loved one by assisting with funeral or memorial services arrangements as needed. They visit the sick and shut-in who cannot attend regular services as well as spearheading charitable efforts in the community.
