I have heard on more than one occasion about making a bucket list of things that you want to accomplish. What things do you have on your list? What are your goals and priorities that you want to accomplish? Prayerfully, we all have included a desire to grow stronger in the Lord, increase our prayer life, and to be more like Christ.  Our bucket list says a lot about us and the things that we value. I would argue strongly that far too many of us have a bucket list filled with things that we assume will make us happy. Nothing is wrong with having these things; however, they do not last. Therefore, we must prioritize the items on our bucket lists.  In Proverbs 22:4, we find these words:

True humility and fear of theLORD lead to riches, honor, and long life.

At the beginning of this chapter, we find the following text, “Choose a good reputation over great riches. Being held in high esteem is better than silver or gold.” Both the rich and the poor have this in common — the Lord made them both, but a wise person takes precautions. The wise person understands the real value of life — to be generous and kind. Read this entire chapter, then each of us need to make the necessary adjustments to our bucket lists. We each need to ensure that we have prioritized our bucket lists. And remember, we will be blessed abundantly when we keep God first.
