As I write this devotion, I am still thinking of the devotion yesterday, Encourage Someone. Wisdom has taught me that all of us need to be encouraged. Wisdom, which is a gift from God, will guide us as to who needs encouragement. Those who have wisdom will honor the men and women of God. Those with wisdom will serve God with all their heart, soul and mind. Wisdom is a priceless, divine gift from God that cannot be bought or self-taught. One can have all of the academic credentials, but still lack wisdom; or have little education yet, be full of wisdom. The scripture today speaks of this gift from Ephesians 1:19:

“I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power.”

In this scripture, the author speaks of witnessing to the Christian faith. This precious relationship to God is granted through the power of Jesus Christ. It is an inherited power to those who believe and accept the truth. Those who are wise have caught hold of His divine glory and power. Those who are granted wisdom know the power of prayer. Wisdom grants to us the ability to have a fruitful life for we are not chasing after things, for true richness is not found in them. Those who are wise know that we brought nothing with us and we will take nothing with us when we leave. I hope that you are blessed with the gift of wisdom. If not, just ask God, who gives to all believers liberally
