There is a vast difference between wisdom and knowledge. Knowledge can be obtained through the pursuit of education; that is good and should be encouraged. However, education alone will not give us wisdom. Wisdom is a gift from God and cannot be earned or bought. It is a priceless gift from heaven above. In Luke 7:35, we find these words:

“’But wisdom is justified of all her children.”

In order to understand this verse, we should read this entire story. Wisdom is justified by her children, meaning all who accept God’s plan. Those who were wise followed the teachings of John the Baptist and Jesus. Once, we walked in darkness; but now we have seen the marvelous light. Thanks be unto God our lives have been turned around. Prayerfully all of us will continue to follow the Lord and He will grant us the wisdom that we need.
