WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?

This question, “Where is Your Faith?” is critical to our walk with God. Our faith will be tested; therefore, our faith must be strong. When the winds of life blow, our faith must be able to allow us to remain calm and stand strong. It is during life’s challenging moments when our faith must be at work. If your faith has not yet been tested, the time will surely come. In Matthew 8:26,we find these words:

“Jesus responded, ‘Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!’ Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.”

Matthew records how Jesus calmed the storm. Jesus got into a boat and started across the lake with His disciples. Suddenly a storm arose, and the boat began to rock. Jesus was asleep, but His disciples woke Him up because they were afraid. They said, in verse 25, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” These disciples, who had been with Jesus on so many occasions, and knew of His power, were terrified. Jesus responded, in verse 26, saying, “‘Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!’ Then He got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.” Let us not be too critical of the disciples, because each of us will have our faith tested. We will each need to be able to answer the question, “Where is Your Faith?” Prayerfully, we all understand what it means to trust God and remain calm when faced with life’s storms.
