WHATEVER PLEASES GOD
Todays’ devotion speaks to every phase and facet of our lives. Whatever we do should always be done to please God. We should do things that are honorable to God and not because of our own self-satisfaction or to please others. We cannot pick and choose what we think will please God, because God deserves to be pleased in every way. We should always do whatever pleases God. He is worthy, and we should give Him all the glory, honor, and praise! In 1 Corinthians 10:31, we find these words:
“So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
Paul, the humble servant of the Lord, was speaking to his fellow believers, telling them to honor God in all that they do. He was concerned about their relationship with God, and he wanted them to enjoy the blessings that God had given them. He goes on to say, “I do not just do what is best for me; I do what is best for others so that many may be saved.” When you get a chance, read this entire chapter. Then, let us all make a commitment this day that everything we do will be done to please God.
