All of us will face some difficult times in life — they are a part of life. But know that the Word is true. In this life, there will be trials and troubles. How we handle them makes the difference. How do you handle difficult days in your life? Who do you rely on? Who do you depend on? Unfortunately, there are those who try dealing with difficulty by engaging in alcohol, drugs, or some other measure. There are even those who become angry, turning their rage on family members and/or friends. Then there are those who hide their sorrow by trying to sleep their troubles away. The question again, that confronts all of us is, “What do you do in difficult times?”  Prayerfully you have discovered the power of God, and you turn to Him when trouble comes your way. That is the solution to every problem in life! Give it to God! He will guide you and lead you through whatever you are experiencing. In 1 Peter 1:7,we find these words:

“These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.”

Peter is speaking to his fellow believers, encouraging them to remain strong because their faith will bring glory and honor to God. He wants them to put their trust in the Lord during these difficult times. He knows full well that God is with them, and he does not want them to lose hope or to become fearful. Peter was simply saying, “When you are going through difficult times, allow your faith to grow. Know that God will bring you through. Do not allow difficult times to turn you away from God. Even though you might endure trials for a little while, it will pass. You will be blessed.” When you get a chance, read this entire chapter. Prayerfully, you have discovered what to do in difficult times. If not, ask Him to come into your life during your difficult time, and He will bring you through.
