WE WALK BY FAITH
It is Tuesday, October 19, 2021, and there are still people dealing with this Coronavirus. They are reluctant to get the vaccine, having passed it up more than once. They are fearful of the future and live every day in grief and pain. They want to know what the future holds. However, believers walk by faith not by sight. Some things we will never know, but we trust God. We cannot live our lives in fear for faith is stronger than fear. It is tragic that so many people are paralyzed trying to figure out the future, only to realize that there will be many uncertainties in life. We must be content just to trust God and walk by faith. Our scriptural reference is II Corinthians 5:7 and reads in this manner.
“For we live by believing and not by seeing.”
In this moving passage, Paul, the humble servant of the Lord has put his complete trust in the Lord. He knew fully that his earthly body would soon decay. Paul knew that his body was growing weak and weary. Nevertheless, he was confident that when he walked by faith, he would be with the Lord when the Lord called him home. Paul put his trust in God realizing that while some things he could not see, God is always present. What a wonderful way to live. Yes, we are to follow the CDC guidelines and trust in the medical profession, however, it is more important to put our complete trust in God. Prayerfully, that is what you believe today and you will walk by faith.
