As believers, we cannot do anything for the Lord on our own. No matter how many gifts and talents we may have, unless the Holy Spirit breathes on us, we have no power. The Holy Spirit releases His power unto God’s people and gives us discernment to do great and glorious things in His name.  The Spirit of God can transform lives and heal. Acts 1:8, which speaks of the Holy Spirit, reads in this way:

 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Jesus, the Master Teacher, speaks of the power the Holy Spirit will bring. The disciples asked a question regarding when the time will come to restore the Kingdom of Israel. The Master responds that it is not necessary to know the time or the season, nevertheless, they will receive power to perform miracles. They shall be witnesses in all Judea, Samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth. Thank God, for the power of the Holy Spirit that we can bear witness to all we meet. The Lord can save, renew and heal. May you be strengthened today by the power of the Holy Spirit that abides in our hearts.
