God has equipped and empowered us to do His work. We can accomplish what the Lord has given us to do, not based upon our own intellect, but based upon His power and strength. We cannot do anything on our own, but we can do mighty things in His name when we submit ourselves to Him. We can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us. God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Rest assured that whatever work God assigns us, we can do it. There is no failure in God. Let me underline these words:  We can do the work!

In 2 Corinthians 3:5, we find these words:

“It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God.”

Paul, the humble servant of the Lord, is speaking to the people of Corinth, saying, “We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. The only letter of recommendation we need is you yourselves. Your lives are a letter written in our hearts; everyone can read it and recognize our good work among you.” Their lives were written in the hearts of God’s people. Their recommendation was not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the Living God. They had put their trust in God. Paul said he was able to minister the new covenant because this covenant was not written pertaining to laws but in accordance with the Holy Spirit. Under the new covenant, the Holy Spirit gives life so that all are working to the glory of God. When you get a chance, read this entire chapter. Then know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that when God grants us His Holy Spirit, we can do the work!
