WE ARE RICH
We are rich! The cattle on the hilltop belong to the Lord and the fullness thereof. Our Father God is rich in blessings. As a result, we His children are rich as well. We are heirs and joint heirs to our Fathers’ generosity. God’s grace and mercy has been extended to all of us. All we need, He will supply. We cannot say that we are poor, when, as the song says, “Our Father is rich with houses and lands; He holds the power of the world in His hands.” In 2 Corinthians 8:7, we find these words:
“Since you excel in so many ways—in your faith, your gifted speakers, your knowledge, your enthusiasm, and your love from us — I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving.”
Here the humble servant of the Lord called upon the believers to be generous in giving. He shared with them the generous grace of Jesus Christ. His riches are to be shared with others so that we can be liberal in giving. If we are generous in our giving, we will be filled with God’s richest blessings. We cannot determine our wealth. We may be lacking in material goods, but God’s grace and mercy will supply all our needs. We are rich indeed!
