WE ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE
Today’s devotion brings out the truth of how God made us. We have heard the words in this devotion’s title on many occasions. Unfortunately, at times we feel we are not worth much. At times, we become hard on ourselves because of our sins and errors. To make matters worse, people, sometimes, tell us that we are not “all that” and they bring up something in our past that causes us to feel small. Know today that God has created us in His own image, making us His own in a wonderful way. Regardless of what others say, we are the children of God. We are not defined by our appearance or where we live. We are all beautiful in His sight. Our scripture reference is Psalm 139:13.
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
The psalmist offers praise unto God, recognizing that the inward parts in His body are shaped and molded by God. He knows God is his maker. He knows he is wonderfully made. He knows that there is nothing hidden from God, for God knows his thoughts. He has been covered by the Lord’s hand. Throughout this psalm, he expresses how evil doers have surrounded him and he has no fear for He knows that the God who created Him will sustain him. His life is in the Lord’s hand and the psalmist is confident that the One who has made and shaped him is able to keep him. May these words of the psalmist speak to your heart today and may you know beyond any doubt that you are fearfully and wonderfully made
