WE ALL HAVE A CALLING
As believers, we have a purpose and calling in our lives. We are the branches; apart from Him we can do nothing, but with Him all things are possible. He has given us gifts to be used for His glory. We all have a calling because we are connected to Him. We are called to serve, as long as we are able, to do great and glorious things in the Name of the Lord. As branches, we have a divine purpose, not only to be connected, but to share our gifts with others. In John 15:16,we find these words:
You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.
The Master makes it clear that He chose us; we did not choose Him. He chose us so that we could produce lasting fruit, and that whatever we ask in the name of the Lord would be granted to us. We can produce much fruit when we are truly connected to the Father. Jesus is making it clear that our purpose is to produce wholesome fruit of the Lord so that He might be glorified. The question I pose is this: “Do you know your gifts? If so, are you using them?” God has given each of us a calling. Prayerfully, we will each find our gift and use it to the glory of God.
