WALKING IN GOD’S WILL
Our walk must always be in God’s will. We can never seek to walk outside of God’s path. He knows the plans we take and wants us to experience His blessings. When we deviate or take detours, we run into trouble. Satan is waiting for us to step out of God’s will. It is there that he will attack. However, when we stay in God’s will, no weapon formed against us shall prosper. The scripture reference is I Peter 4:1 and reads as follows:
“So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude He had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin.”
In this moving passage, the apostle writes of the need to live for Christ. He speaks of suffering not only physical pain but also emotional and spiritual pain. When you stay in God’s will, you will maintain the attitude of Christ and be able to endure all that comes your way. Peter says that God has given each of us a gift. All that we do will bring glory and honor to Christ. Peter is deeply committed to live and walk in God’s will. He wants his fellow believers to do the same. Prayerfully, today, you are serving, living, and walking in the will of Almighty God.
