Walk with Those Who Have Wisdom

The Book of Proverbs has so many rich instructions on how we are to live. Many of us have strayed away from the Word of God, and consequently, have make bad decisions and poor choices. Today’s devotion instructs us to walk with those who have wisdom. In Proverbs 13:20, we find these words:

“Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.”

The writer speaks of the necessity to choose companions wisely. The influence of one person upon another is recognized in several passages of scripture in this chapter. The writer indicates that those who follow the foolish shall be destroyed. When you get a chance read this chapter — it provides guidance for how we are to live. We cannot go wrong when we follow these instructions. We should surround ourselves with those who are wise, can give godly advice, and who love the Lord. Be careful of those who say there is no God. Only fools speak those words. Those who are wise will impart the ways of the Lord.
