God knows the way we take. He wants us to walk in His way for His way is holy and good. When we choose to walk in His way, our lives will be filled with abundant  blessings.  On the other hand, those who choose not to walk in His way will find life to be burdensome and heavy. Let me be clear. Walking His way does not necessarily mean that everything will be peaches and cream or rosy. Jesus said, “In this life you will have trails and troubles.” He added to be of good cheer for He has overcome the world. Walking in His way we are victorious. The book Isaiah 30:21 is our text for today.

“Your own ears will hear Him. Right behind you a voice will say, ‘This is the way you should go,’ whether to the right or to the left.”

The prophet Isaiah writes of the blessings of the Lord’s people. He indicates the faithfulness of God and the blessings that come when they wait for His help. He will give them discernment and guide them in the path they should take. He will speak to them for they are to listen to His gentle voice. Isaiah tells the people to trust God that He will grant the victory to them over their enemies. He will grant them new harvest. He will send rain in planting time and they will have wonderful harvests. We must be willing to follow the path that the Lord has provided for us. We cannot go ahead of God and not be willing to wait. In God’s own time, He will show us the way. Let us continue to walk in the way and receive the blessings along the way.
