Yesterday in our devotion, we spoke about the need to walk in the way of the Lord. Today, we continue with the message to walk in the way of the Lord and add to it to walk in the Word. God’s Holy Word gives us direction, inspiration, and guidance. We cannot deviate from the Word that is our source of strength. We need to read the Word and apply it to our lives, daily. We need to be not only hearers, but also doers of the Word as well. Psalm 119:133 says:

“Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.”

The psalmist not only wants to acknowledge God’s goodness, but he seeks to have God speak to his heart. He wants the Lord to look upon him and to teach him his commands. He does not want to go astray, his heart is open to the Lord, and he knows the power of the Word. Prayerfully today you have discovered the power of living by God’s Word and you are walking in and living by His Word daily.
