Our walk is very important in our relationship with God. We should always walk in the light of His presence with godly integrity, humility and reverence. Let your walk and talk be acceptable unto God. Walk with your head up, looking to the hills from whence cometh your help, for your help cometh from the Lord. Even with life’s burdens and surrounding pressures, walk in the shadow of His presence. Never walk in darkness. Walk in His light. I recall the song, “Walk in the light, beautiful light. Jesus is the Light of the world.” Our scripture reference is Psalm 89:15.

“Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord.”

The psalmist declares that those who walk in the light are filled with joy. He invites the people to walk in the Lord’s presence, for in His presence they shall be surrounded by His divine power. This is a psalm of praise as he writes that the Lord is filled with glory as the Holy One of Israel. He is aware of the Lord’s faithfulness, love and steadfastness. In the Holy Temple, the psalmist calls the people to sing and shout, acknowledging the Lord’s divine presence. His praises to God are known through this psalm. His heart overflows with joy as he has discovered the blessing of walking in the light of the Lord’s presence. He honors God. There are fifty-two verses in this song that ends with “Blessed be the Lord forever. Amen. Amen.” What a wonderful testimony! Prayerfully, you are walking in the Light of His presence and have discovered the joy of His presence.
