As believers, we need to always walk in the ways of the Lord. We must honor His commandments and keep His statutes. We cannot deviate.  We must always honor God in every step that we take. The Lord knows the way we take and will bless us when we keep Him in our hearts. The Lord deserves all the glory and all the honor, and we honor Him when we walk in His way.  In 1 Kings 8:6,we find these words:

Then the priests carried the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant into the inner sanctuary of the Temple—the Most Holy Place—and placed it beneath the wings of the cherubim.

In this passage of scripture, we see how the Ark of the Lord was brought to the people of Jerusalem.  The tribal leaders came together to bring the Ark of the Lord to the temple to remind the people of God to worship the Lord, to honor Him, and to carry out His statutes. This holy place is the symbol of the holy God. The people were to honor the Lord in the temple. Solomon was a man of prayer and he prayed for the people to walk in a Godly way to give Him praise.  When you get a chance, read this entire chapter. Prayerfully, we are all honoring God by walking in His statutes and in His love.
