“WAKE-UP THOUGHTS”
Every morning, on the Church Without Walls prayer line, I share “Wake-Up Thoughts” from the book, “Wake Up to Hope,” a devotional by Joel and Victoria Osteen. As I stated yesterday, many of us wake up in the morning complaining rather than rejoicing. The purpose of a “Wake-Up Thought” is for us to think of good things each morning. God has given us a new day, a new beginning, and we ought to begin each day by acknowledging His goodness. In Isaiah 50:4, we find these words:
“The Sovereign Lord has given me his words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will.”
Isaiah tells the people to set their eyes upon the Lord, because He will grant them wisdom and understanding. This is the “Wake-Up Thought” for today and every day. We should wake up each morning acknowledging God’s goodness and giving Him praise for another day!
