Whenever the enemy surrounds us, we need to ask God to cover us under His wings. The forces of evil are strong, yet there is protection under the Almighty Wings of God.  There is no need for us to fear or feel as though we are defeated. As stated in Isaiah 54:17(KJV) “No weapon formed against (us) shall prosper,” and we have the blessed assurance that “He will be our shelter in the time of storm” (Isaiah 4:6).  Perhaps today you are facing attack from the enemy.  The word is simply this: stay strong, be encouraged, and ask Him for protection under His wings.  In Psalm 17:8, we find these words:

“Guard me as you would guard your own eyes. Hide me in the shadow of your wings.”

The psalmist petitions God for protection.  He needs the Lord to hide him under His Almighty Wings.  The psalmist makes it clear that the enemy has no regard for his well-being.  He also indicates that the enemy surrounds his very soul, yet he is assured his words will reach the heart of God.   What a wonderful testimony.  We all have enemies, but when we have God, nothing can defeat us.  Each day when we pray, we must ask the Lord to hide us under His wings. When God hides us, we are safe: safe under the shadow of His wings.
