TUNE OUT SOME THINGS
I have said on more than one occasion that we need to stay away from negativity that pollutes our minds and infiltrates our hearts. When people speak, we need to learn how to tune them out. We cannot take everything into our minds and expect to live a productive life. As one believes, so he is. Some things are not good for us. Let me put it this way: we desire food, yet, some foods are not necessarily good for us regardless of how pleasing they look. They are not good for our health. In the same way, there are things that are not good for our minds. We must learn to tune out some things. Matthew 11:30 speaks of this need.
“For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
Jesus the Christ makes some powerful statements. He indicated that those who oppose Him are not with Him and are not working with Him. We must discern some things that are not good for our relationship with the Master. Jesus provides strong instruction about the relationships we have. He indicates that a good person produces good things. Then, the Master says that what is in our heart determines what we say. That is why we cannot put everything in our hearts.Read this entire chapter at your next chance. Follow the Master’s teaching, and glean what is good for your life.
