In my humble opinion, these two words, “truth” and “life”, go hand-in-hand.  The truth will set us free and give us a brand-new life. That means that God will set us free, indeed, and we will be given a brand-new life. Old things will pass away, and all things will be made new. We will experience the wondrous, marvelous life that our Heavenly Father has provided for us.  We know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Jesus is the way to truth and life. When we come to Him, we will experience an abundance of joy and peace. There is nothing like knowing the Heavenly Father. In John 14:6, we find these words:

“Jesus told him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me’.”

Jesus, the Master Teacher, is speaking to His disciples.  He begins this chapter by saying, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled.”  Jesus told them that He was also making His way to His Father’s home, saying, “When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.” The disciples said they had no idea where Jesus was going. Jesus responded, telling them that He is the way, and also told them, “Anyone who believes in me will do the same work I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”  This is the perfect example of truth and life. There may be someone reading this devotion who has not experienced truth and life. The Master says, “Ask anything in My Name.”  Ask Him, in His Name, to grant you truth and a new life so that you may experience an abundance of joy!
