TREAT EVERYBODY RIGHT
I am continuing the devotions with the theme of the need to love one another, and to treat each other in ways that honor God. We are called to treat everybody right. There are those who think differently than we do, those who have different political views, the list goes on. But we cannot stand in judgement; we have an obligation to treat everybody fairly with love. Some of us tend to treat others fairly only if a common denominator can be found. If the individual thinks like, worships like, or looks like us then we will treat them right. But God will give us His power through His Spirit to treat everybody right — and I mean everybody! In Matthew 7:12,we find these words:
Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence
of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.
Here we see “The Golden Rule.” In this chapter, Jesus speaks about not judging one another as well as treating people right. We have a responsibility to treat people with love because the God we serve provides all that we need. Read this entire chapter, then from this day forward, take this message to heart and treat everybody right!
