When we trust God completely, we can be strong in times of despair. He gives us the victory because He loves and cares for us. He has not given us a spirit of fear. There is no fear in God. He removes all obstacles and barriers that get in our way. We can trust, depend, and rely on Him. We should not live in fear because it will rob us of the blessings that God has for us. These last few years, dealing with the pandemic, is a prime example of this. Countless people have found themselves living in isolation and fear. They are afraid to get the vaccine, and consequently they are afraid to worship in the sanctuary or be around others. This is just one example, but there are many other fears that cripple God’s people. We must all realize that there is no fear in God. In Isaiah 41:10, we find these words:

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

The Almighty God is speaking to His people, telling them not to be afraid, because He is with them. He also tells them that He will strengthen them and help them by holding them. Those who come against them will stumble and fall. God has been there for us in this same manner, time, and time again. He is always there to guide us and protect us. We can put our trust in Him, and He will take away all our fears, anxieties, and worries. Then, we can live a full and complete life. Prayerfully, we will all learn to trust God completely, for there is no fear in God!
