Praise God today that the work of salvation is already done. We cannot add or subtract anything for the Lord has done it all. Salvation is a free gift to those willing to accept it.  By the shedding of His blood, Jesus Christ has paid the atonement for our sin. Our works cannot produce salvation. Our love, no matter how strong, cannot grant salvation to us. It is already done! Praise God, today, for the work is full and complete. That ought to give us reason to shout and to give God praise today. The scripture reference today is Philippians 2:12.

 “Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.”

Paul, the humble servant of the Lord writes to his fellow believers urging them to shine brightly for Christ. Paul knows that salvation has already been completed. So, he tells those whom he loves to work hard to show the evidence of their salvation by obeying God with reverence and respect. God is working in them and giving them the desire and the power to do what pleases Him. Paul pours out his heart to them. He wants them to honor God without complaining or arguing and to live a life worthy unto Him. He wants their lives to shine bright revealing that salvation has come unto them. As I close out this devotion, I charge you to: (1) thank God for the gift of salvation, and (2) let your light shine brightly. Others will recognize you as evidence of His glorious salvation unto us.
