THE WATCHFUL EYE OF God
God is always watching out for us. He never slumbers nor sleeps. He is always doing something new and exciting in our lives. He keeps on blessing us over and over again. Morning by morning new mercies are ours to see. In Habakkuk 1:5, we find these words:
“The Lord replied, ‘Look around at the nations; look and be amazed!
For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it.’”
In this verse, the author tells of a conversation between him and the Lord. The work that the Lord would perform was to be so incredible that the people would not think it possible. Read this entire chapter when you get a chance because it speaks of the behaviors that were being demonstrated by the people of Judah at that time, which were similar to those that are demonstrated by some of the people that we see in our own nation today. Both the people of Judah then, and the people in our nation today, appear to have lost reverence for God. Prayerfully, today, we will come together and turn back to God. As stated in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “Then If my people, who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and restore their land.” Let us continue to pray for healing. And let us thank God for His watchful eye!
