Far too many people are in bondage. They have individual chains that bind them. We need God to break the chains that keep us from being free. There is no need for any of us to live in bondage. Whom God sets free is free indeed. There is nothing like freedom; to be all that God will have us to be: free to be full and complete, free to love. Today’s devotion speaks of how the truth will set us free, in John 8:32.

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Jesus speaks to the people who believe in Him. He wants them to know that if they continue believing in Him, they shall know the truth and it will set them free. There were those who did not believe in Him and those who trusted Him. The believers could not allow their faith to be shaken, but continue in His Word. Also, the believers could not be swayed by what others said, but remain steadfast and keep to His word. They were granted freedom. Then, they were truly His disciples. However, their faith had to be rooted. All of us will have our faith tested, but we must remain true to the Word. The truth will liberate us and lead us on a path of holiness and righteousness. Never sway from the truth. Be able to live emancipated by the blood of Jesus Christ.
