The Presence Of God
There is something powerful about being in the presence of God. When we are in His presence, we are surrounded by Holiness. We are called to worship and acknowledge God with reverence, respect and humility so that the world will know that He is our great God. In Luke 3:4, we find these words:
“As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.”
John the Baptist makes it clear that preparation is needed to receive the Lord as he preaches the Lord’s coming. In Isaiah 40:3-5, we find “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight and the rough places plain: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.” (KJV). Oh, my brothers and sisters: to be in the presence of the Lord! May you be
strengthened today with the presence of God, wherever you are. May you declare to all whom you meet that God brings peace, joy, redemption, salvation, grace, love and mercy. May you share the good news as John the Baptist did.
