THE POWER OF THE WORD
There is power in the Word of God. We draw our power from the Word. When we rely on the Word, no matter what battle we find ourselves in, we will always be victorious. That is why it is important to study the Word and be doers of the word by applying it to our lives on a daily basis. In every situation, ask yourself what the Word says. Never go against the Word. Never try to go ahead of the Word. Always depend upon the Word. You will never go wrong when you rely on the Word of God. Far too often, we respond in ways that do not keep in line with God’s words. We find ourselves in a mess. Let the word of God be your strength. Psalm 119:105 is our scripture reference today.
“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.”
Here the psalmist declares the power of the Word. This Psalm consists of 176 verses. Each of these verses speaks truth. The psalmist is fully aware of the Lord as his refuge and strength. He knows the Lord will sustain him. He knows the Word will guide him. He promises to keep God’s Word in his heart. He has refused to walk on an evil path. He says, “How sweet your words taste to me. They are sweeter than honey.” I pray that you know beyond a shadow of a doubt, the power of His Word so that you can say, “Oh taste and see that the Lord is good”. Thanks be unto God today for His Word. When all else fails, His Word will stand forever.
