“The New You” is prayerfully something each of us can identify with. God has changed us and now there is something completely different about us. Let me add — it does not mean that we are perfect, but it does mean that some changes are taking place in our lives.  We have been set free by the hand of God. We don’t talk the way we used to talk. We don’t do the things we used to do. We have allowed God to direct our footsteps and we have received His blessings from on high. This “New You” is enjoying a blessed life because we are living with Christ in our hearts. In Colossians 3:33, we find these words:

For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.

In this chapter, we find that the people of God have a new life in Christ. They were dead because of their sins, but God cancelled all the charges against them, and has given them new life. This is the same for us.  We have been set free by the hand of God. He has changed our entire lives and we are no longer the same. We have been set free from the powers of darkness and now we live in the light of God’s love. Today, celebrate “The New You.” Give God thanks for changing your life forever!
