God knows everything about us, when we are right or wrong, good or bad. We all have good in us and bad in us. Yet, God never stops loving us. At times, we find ourselves seeking to hide from God for we know that we have done things outside of His will. There is no hiding place to run to or to escape from God. We might hide some parts of our lives from family and friends. But, we cannot hide anything from God. However, the beauty is no matter what we have done, He still loves us. We don’t have to hide, because He will find us, and the truth will be revealed. Hiding from God is today’s devotion and referenced in Psalm 139:7.

 “I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!”

The psalmist acknowledges that he cannot escape from the Lord’s presence: there is no place to hide from the Lord’s presence. He is aware that God is in complete control. He knows that God’s knowledge is too wonderful for him to comprehend. If he makes his way to heaven or hell, God is there. God is in the winds of the morning and the uttermost depths of the sea. The psalmist is grateful that the Lord has searched him and knows everything about him. This is a prayer of gratitude! The psalmist acknowledges the omnipotence of God. He knows that God is His creator and rock in a weary land. What a blessing it is to know that God’s presence is always there for you. Even when we refuse to acknowledge Him, God will not go away and is there giving us the grace and mercy we need. All we can do is say WOW. What a mighty God we serve.
