There is power in the name of Jesus- at the name of Jesus, every knee must bow and every tongue must confess (Philippians 2:10). The choir sings a song entitled, “Bless That Wonderful Name of Jesus.” Just to call His name brings forth power. Many have called on the name of Jesus in their time of despair, and the Lord heard them and delivered them. In Act 3:6, we find these words:

 “But Peter said, ‘I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!’”

Peter and John were on their way to the temple when they encountered a man who was seeking a blessing. First, calling on the name of Jesus, they told the man to walk. Instantly the man was given power to rise up and walk. It is my prayer today that whatever we need, we will just call on the name of Jesus. Just know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, when we call the name, Jesus, He surely will answer and bless us.
