THE MASTER SHEDS TEARS FOR US
Our scripture reading, found in John 11:35, is just three words:
“Then Jesus wept.”
Jesus has a deep love for us and when we are in despair, He sheds tears for us. This is not a sign of weakness but rather a sign of His love and compassion filled with His grace and mercy. The master cares for us deeply. In this chapter we find that Martha and Mary’s brother Lazarus has died and they are in grief; their hearts are heavy. They said, “Master if you had been here my brother would not have died.” Jesus loved this family. He asked, “Where is your brother?” Jesus weeps with them, tears flowing from His eyes. Then the Master called for Lazarus to come out. The master is constantly working on our behalf.
