Life’s problems can drain us. The trials and troubles of life can sap us dry. Let me add, no matter how much faith one may have, there are times when we feel weak and weary, particularly after the troubles seem to continue day in and day out. When we finish with one trouble, here comes another. It might be sickness, family problems, heartache or disappointment from those that we love. Praise God today that the Lord will renew our strength. That is the good news today! Our scripture reference for this devotion is found in Isaiah 40:30 and reads in this manner:

“Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.”  Here in this deep and profound passage of scripture, the prophet of the Lord speaks about the need to wait on the Lord. He writes that he gives power to the faithful and to those who have no might. The Prophet knows that the Lord will increase the strength of the people. God has a loving and caring heart for His people. All they need to do is to look to Him and they will be renewed in strength. Throughout this chapter, the psalmist clearly states that the Lord is the Everlasting God and Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not grow weary. You can draw upon His strength and His power. If you need renewed strength today, the good news is that the Lord will renew your strength in Him. Turn to Him today and find the strength you need to continue. No matter what life brings your way, God will give you the strength to endure.
