Thank God today that the Lord will protect us! He will protect us from all harm and evil.  We will be covered by His powerful hand.  No weapon formed against us will prosper.  He will make our enemies our footstool. His hands of protection and His mercy are always present, always surrounding us, embracing us, and strengthening us.  What a blessing it is to know that we are covered! Praise God today for the protection He gives to us! In Psalm 27:1, we find these words:

The LORD is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?”

The psalmist declares the Lord is his light and his salvation, therefore he should not worry about anything. The psalmist says in verses 2 and 3, “When evil people come to devour me…they will stumble and fall…I will remain confident.” In verse 5 he says, “For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary…”  You can tell that the psalmist has confidence that the Lord will protect him in his time of trouble. He closes, in verse 14, by saying, “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.”  We must patiently wait on the Lord, but while waiting, we must know, without a shadow of a doubt, that His hands of protection will be with us every step of the way.
