Nothing, but nothing, we do surprises God. He knows every movement we make and every step we take. His love for us is there, every step of the way. Even when we take the wrong step, God will not turn His back on us. He knows our good steps as well as our bad steps. There is no place that we can go that He does not know. Sometimes we fail to remember that He knows our every step. At times, we try to hide from some of the things we have done. Darkness does not hide us. The light is not so bright that he cannot see us. In Psalm 139:7 we read.

“I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!?”

The psalmist believes that there is nowhere he can go where the Lord’s presence is not with him. The presence and love of God is with him every step of the way. He says, “If I ascend to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, You are there.” He continually states that there is no place, where God’s presence is not with Him. Not only does the psalmist know that the Lord knows every step he takes, the psalmist knows that the love of God sustains and keeps him wherever he finds himself. The Lord’s omnipresence surrounds him. When you get a chance read all of Psalm 139. The psalmist ends this song in praise of the Lord knowing that he is fearfully and wonderfully made. What an awesome God we serve. The Lord knows every hair on our head. He knows every detail about us for He made us. He did not make us, then to abandon us. Praise Him, thank and glorify Him today. Acknowledge that He is God. Know beyond a shadow of doubt that we are never alone for He is with us. His love surrounds us.
