As you read this devotion, have no doubt that the Lord is with you, no matter what you are going through: sickness, pain, trials, whatever it is. God is with you! Not only is He with you but He will help you and comfort you. Do not be afraid: God is on your side! No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Take a moment before you read any further in this devotion and thank God that He is with you. Prayerfully, that will give you strength.
Our scripture lesson for this devotion makes it clear that God is with us. Isaiah 41:10 reads:
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
In this moving passage of Scripture, the Lord assures the people of Israel that He is with them through his prophet Isaiah, reminding them of what He has done and telling them what He will do. Those who seek to harm them will fail in their efforts for He will protect them. He will strengthen them and be with them, every step of the way. There is no need to fear; God is with them every step of the way. He says to them, “I am the Lord your Redeemer. I am the Holy One of Israel.” What blessed assurance it is to know that the God of the Universe is on your side! Give God praise today, that we are not alone, as God is right by our side, holding us with His victorious right hand.
