The Lord is still working on us. He is not finished with us yet. Thank God for the progress He has made, but there is more to be done because we are not where we should be yet. But thank God we are not what we used to be; God wants to do some new things in our lives. There are some areas that still need improvement. Some of us may need more faith, while some may need more strength, others may need to learn how to forgive, and there may be others who have not grown in their prayer lives. The list could go on and on.  God loves us and has a deep desire for us to grow. That is why He is still working on us. In Philippians 1:6,we find these words:

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”

Paul, the humble servant of the Lord, acknowledges the people of Philippi, praying for them and encouraging them to continue to do good works. He told them that God was not finished with them yet. He wanted them to know that they had more growing to do, and that God would give them what they needed in order for them to grow. Paul prayed that their love would overflow, and that they would continue to grow in their knowledge and understanding of the Lord.  He also prayed that they would continue to grow in their faith. The Lord is still working on us. Prayerfully, we all recognize that we have areas that need to be improved, and we will allow God to continue to grow us.
