Thanks be unto God that He has plans for each of us. His plans are divine and meant for our good and not for our harm. What a blessing it is to follow the Lord’s plans. They lead to a productive and meaningful life. No one can plan as our God can. No one can bring our plans to bear, as He can. When we plan, others and sometimes we ourselves interrupt our plans. However, what God has planned for us, no one can change or alter. When you put your life under His master plan, rest assured that your life will be full and complete. A portion of scripture speaks to this clearly in Jeremiah 29:11.

“’For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’”

The writer indicates that the Lord knows the plans for His people. The Israelites have been carried as captives from Jerusalem to Babylon to build houses, dwell in them, eat fruit and seek the welfare of the city. At peace, they will have peace themselves. The Lord tells them that after 70 years He will visit Babylon, bless them, and allow them to return to their home places. He lets them know that their captivity will be over and He has planned for them to prosper and to do good. Some of us are in captivity now. Thanks be unto God that our release is on the way. He knows what He has in store for us and is willing to bring it to bear as we put our trust and faith in Him.
