THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD
To know God is one of the greatest blessings you can receive. I have said on more than one occasion, it is good to know that family members or friends may know Him. But, there is nothing like having the knowledge, faith and trust in God truly is one of the greatest gifts you may ever have in your life. Believers also have the wisdom and understanding that His presence is always there. To know Him is to love Him and the more you know, the deeper your love is. Knowing Him means that you are empowered by Him and nothing can separate you from His love. Today’s devotion, taken from Romans 11:33, speaks about the knowledge of God.
“Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and His ways!”
In this text, we see the mercy of God. Paul speaks clearly of the need to understand the mysteries of God. He declares that God’s wisdom and knowledge are impossible to understand fully. His ways and thoughts are not ours. Paul recognizes that everything comes from Him and exists by His power, intended for His glory. He gives mercy to everyone. That is the knowledge of what God has done. It allows us to speak into His riches. We may not fully understand, but we have enough to know how rich and great God is. We will never fully understand His majestic power, but the little that we know is more than sufficient. As we gain this knowledge, we see little by little how God increases our knowledge of Him. It is mind-boggling how great God is. May you be blessed today with the knowledge that God has granted unto you.
