I am grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ because the Gospel is good news. We should each take the time every day to read this good news. If there was ever a time we needed to hear good news, it is now. The news that we hear on the radio, TV, as well as in the newspapers are full of gloom and doom. The gospel is light to our daily lives. There is so much that we can learn from the word of God. As God’s people, we cannot be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Not only must we read it, but we must live it. It is my fervent prayer that we will all apply the word of God to our lives every day, and that we will be willing to share the Gospel with others. In Romans 1:16, we find these words:

 “For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentiles.”

Paul expresses his gratitude to God to his fellow believers because he wants them to know about the good news. He says in verse 17, “This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”’ Paul was not ashamed, and he does not want us to be ashamed of the Gospel. He had a great responsibility that had to be carried out, and that was to share with others the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is my prayer, today, that we will all share the Gospel with others so that they too, will know of God’s amazing grace.
