While writing this devotion, I was drawn to the fact that this devotion could be titled, ‘The God of Multiple Chances.’ Many of us have come to know that He is a God not only of second chances, but of many chances. Think for a few moments how many times He has forgiven you and allowed you to start over again. It is utterly amazing how God has blessed us over and over again. In Mark 16:7, we find these words:

“Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see Him there, just as He told you before He died.”

Peter had been given a major assignment to receive the news that Jesus Christ would appear to the disciples. We know that Peter had denied the Master; however, the Lord gave Peter another chance! He is one of the disciples to receive the good news. How many times have we failed the Lord? I cannot write anymore; this says it all. Thanks be to God for another chance — a needed chance, although undeserved, but needed just the same!
