The God of All Comfort

We serve a God who blesses us at all times with His comforting hand. In times of death, illness, heartache, and pain we are blessed to know that the God we serve is the God of all comfort. He comforts us in times of need. We could not make it a day without God’s strong hand of comfort. We thank Him for the times in our lives when we were blessed by His comfort and strength. I have been the recipient of God’s comfort, peace, and protection throughout my life. I know I’m not alone, for many have experienced the blessings from the God of all comfort. In 2 Corinthians 1:3, we find these words:

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.”

This verse tells us how reconciliation has been made possible. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, never yielded to temptation, so He knew no sin. Paul emphasizes the sinlessness of Jesus Christ. He was without sin yet took on the burden of our transgressions. Therefore, we must reconcile not only with Him, but also with our brothers and sisters. Let us not let this day go by without reconciling with our brother or sister. God will get the glory and we will be blessed.
