There is no peace like the Peace of God. God’s Peace is truly amazing. The gift of peace is with us even in the midst of all our raging storms. It comes out of God’s great love for us. We will not be left alone, for this peace that is within us is given to us and we can draw on that peace, no matter what life brings our way. We can rest on His promise that He is there for us every step of the way. This Peace is far beyond comprehension. It will steady our steps and reduce our anxiety because it causes us to sleep peacefully through the night regardless of what we are going through. Thank God today for His powerful, loving Peace. The Scripture reference today is John 14:27:

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

Jesus, the master teacher, is about to leave His disciples, but there was a need for Him to provide for them. Therefore, He gave them the gift of the heart and mind so that they would have peace, even in the midst of trouble. He told them that they need not be afraid because the peace He gave them was a peace that the world could not give them and He wanted them to cherish the gift. Think back on the day you became aware that you were blessed with the gift of peace. If you are resting in the Peace of God, you are blessed beyond measure. Praise God today for this wonderful gift!
