THE DOOR IS OPEN
I recently purchased an ornament that read “Pray Big.” When I saw it in the store, I immediately bought it and placed it in the church’s chapel. It reminds us that whenever we pray, our prayers need to be big and with expectation that God hears and answers prayer. Prayer does change things and opens closed doors. Prayer makes ways out of no ways. We can never stop. The reason we can pray big is that we serve a big God. Nothing is too hard for Him. We need to be persistent in our prayers, believing and trusting God. He invites us to come. He always has an open door to receive us as found in Matthew 7:7:
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
Jesus, the Master Teacher, speaks about effective prayer. He extends an invitation to knock and the door will be open, to seek and to find that which we stand in need of. The emphasis is placed on ASK. It is the confidence one must have in asking and to petition and seek Him knowing that when you seek Him, you shall find Him. All who ask, receive. All who knock, will find an open door. The Master stands waiting to hear our requests. I pray that you have discovered that when you pray God will answer prayers and that you have taken advantage of the blessed opportunity to come into His presence and acknowledge your needs. If you need healing, ask Him. If you need strength, ask Him. If you need faith, ask Him. If you need peace, ask Him. Whatever you need, give it to Him.
