When we walk with the Lord, He walks with us. When we honor Him, He will
give us the desires of our hearts. God loves us unconditionally and His love grants us countless blessings from on high. He withholds nothing from His children. He knows our every ache and pain, our every longing. He knows that which is planted deep in our hearts. Rest assured that He knows our thoughts from afar. In Psalm 17:4, we find these words:

“I have followed your commands, which keep me from following cruel
and evil people.”

The psalmist tells the Lord that he has followed all of His commands; therefore, he knows He will answer his prayer. The psalmist is in need of God’s help, for his enemies have surrounded him. He prays to the Lord from the depths of his heart about the desires of his heart. In verse 13, he says, “Arise, O Lord, Stand against them, and bring them to their knees! Rescue me from the wicked with your sword!”  And at the beginning of the chapter he says “Hear my plea for justice. Listen to my cry for help. Pay attention to my prayer, for it comes from honest lips. Declare me innocent for you see those who do right.”  What assurance to know that if we honor Him, the Almighty God will grant us the desires of our heart.
