THAT’S LOVE
God’s Love is amazing. I have said this on more than one occasion, but as I write this devotion, I am reminded of God’s Love. I remember the song, “That’s Love.” The song does not tell the story of God’s great love. That song was a secular song. It had a good beat, but it did not convey real genuine love from God. People love us based upon how we love them, and some do not return the love, even as we extend it. But God’s Love is unconditional, it is ever present. His Love keeps us and nothing can separate us from His Love. Romans 8:39 reads:
“No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Here in this deep profound passage of Scripture, Paul indicates neither life, nor death angels, the demons, nor can fear and worries separate us from His love. God has chosen us and given us everlasting love. Christ Jesus shedding His blood on Calvary for our sins reveals that love. No one took His life; He let it down fully and freely. Nothing, nothing, nothing in this whole wide world can separate us from His Love. All I can say is, “That’s Love.”
