What would we do without God’s mercy? We are protected by God’s mercies every day. He gives us new mercies each and every day; morning-by-morning new mercies are ours to see (Lamentations 3:23). All we can say is, “Thank God for His mercy.”  Great is His faithfulness. Praise God today for His never-ending mercy. This day He has granted us mercy from on high — not left-over mercy, or recycled mercy, but new mercy. We received mercy yesterday, but today He has given us brand new mercy from on high. In Lamentations 3:22,we find these words:

“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.”

The writer is clear that because of God’s great mercy we are not consumed. His compassion fails not. Even as we wait on the Lord, there is the assurance that we are not waiting alone, nor is our waiting void of blessings. While we are waiting, His mercy is present. Even as we go through life’s struggles and trials, mercy is right there. Even when we stumble, and fall, and commit sin after sin, mercy is still there. We are never deserving of His mercy, but He keeps pouring mercy onto us. All we can do is say is “wow!” and thank Him for His Mercy.
